Sarasota, FL, November 1, 2016– Willis Smith Construction proudly announces the promotion of Rick Scherzer and Jon Taleff as Project Managers.
Rick obtained his Master’s degree in Construction Management from the University of Florida. Rick began his career with Willis Smith in 2014, and for the past 2 years he has been instrumental in the management and the successful completion of five Fire Stations within Sarasota and Manatee Counties. He is currently working on his 6th Fire Station in North Port in conjunction with the supervision of the Day Spring Episcopal Camp and Program Center. Rick stated, “I am grateful for the opportunity and I look forward to taking on a larger role within the Willis Smith Family”!
Jon received his Master’s degree in Construction Management from Drexel University in Philadelphia. He joined the Willis Smith Healthcare team in 2013 and over the last 3 years he has been actively involved with the St. Joseph Cancer Center, the South Florida Baptist Hospital ICU relocation and the Tidewell Hospice Headquarters Office Upgrade. He currently is managing the new Plymouth Harbor Assisted Living Facility on St. Armands.
Jon explained, “Healthcare has always been a passion of mine. To be able to develop the patient care environment as a Project Manager with Willis Smith is truly special. Sarasota is a beautiful city with industry-leading care and standards and I am honored to be a part of such an exciting group.
