Mote Marine Laboratory - Ann and Alfred Goldstein Building and the Jean Purcell Hendry Wing

This project consisted of a new research facility including 41,000 sf building, parking garage on first floor, office and display space on second and third floors. Reinforced pre-cast concrete structure, CMU, window wall skin with light gage metal framed mansard roof.

The new 41,000 square foot facility is adjacent to the existing dolphin lagoon and is an expansion of the original Ann and Alfred Goldstein Center that the company built in 1994. A new entry pavilion was built between the existing structures. Included in the new building is the Jean Purcell Hendry Wing, a public viewing area and a conference room. The building also contains a 5,500-square-foot conference room and approximately 10,000 feet of office space. The new center expands the center’s space for the study of sea turtles, whales, manatees and dolphins. The first level is a parking garage, second and third levels are offices, meeting and research facilities.
