Integrated document coordination, change order management, cost control and cost forecasts allow real-time reporting and paperless collaboration.

Sage Timberline Software®

Willis Smith Construction utilizes Sage Timberline Software to manage the related systems necessary to organize and track all of the data required to manage a project; accounting, estimating, project management, payroll and job costing. Timberline eliminates redundant tasks and data entry and improves collaboration with its integrated work-flow process.

SCHEDULE

Develop and analyze construction schedule progress and trade sequencing to track construction progress and look-ahead items, analyze procurement and logistics issues.

“Microsoft Project for Windows”, has the capability of scheduling numerous activities for multiple projects within hourly increments, if required. This substantially reduces the cost and time spent in preparing and updating project schedules and analyzing variant occurrences. In addition, system can be transported to a field location for scheduling activities.

ESTIMATE

Historical cost data, quantity take-offs, change management, cost analyses, and estimates from conceptual through final establish more accurate pricing models and control costs.

DProfiler

DProfiler™ is the industry’s premier preconstruction tool and one of the technologies we employ to meet time and budget requirements. It is a “macro” BIM solution used in the planning and conceptual design phases to produce an accurate, simultaneous cost estimate of a proposed design based on a 3-D model. DProfiler imports cost data from our cost database developed exclusively from local projects, competitively bid. We can rapidly model different concepts and construction materials to help select the most cost effective systems.

Web Cams Another added resource that we provide is the use of a jobsite web camera to provide current on-line viewing of the project. Anyone can log-on to our website to view the project in action.

Bluebeam®

This is the main program we use for estimating and plan review. For preconstruction it virtually eliminates the need for printing plans. It’s ideal for plan review with the ability to do electronic overlays that lets us check for conflicts. But its real strength is the ability to mark-up plans and clearly communicate that information to the designers.

COMMUNICATE

Construction planning, document distribution, project management, and safety enable better collaboration with customers, the design team, subcontractors and other stakeholders.

RFITrack

Willis A. Smith Construction has developed a web-based system called RFItrack for tracking Requests for Information (RFIs) during construction. The system consists of two parts: a relational database of project information and a web-based user interface to access and manipulate RFI’s.  The database stores information on each RFI and feeds that information to the website so that a project team can access it from anywhere at any time.
