Sarasota County Sheriff Tom Knight Support Services Facility
This project included over 70,000 SF, across four different buildings, allowing the Sheriff’s department to maintain and service their fleet of vehicles.
The 42,650 SF, fully air-conditioned main building contains a large Fleet Maintenance Area with twelve maintenance bays equipped with vehicle lifts and hose reels with lubricants, automotive fluids, and
compressed air; six radio shop bays, primed for installation of their vehicle required radios and electronics; and a Large Vehicle Maintenance Area that can service the largest vehicles and boats the Sheriff
Department uses. This building is built to withstand 160 MPH winds.
A 13,764 SF ancillary building on the site is secured and utilized for storage and processing of vehicles and
fleet equipment as well as fueling. There is an additional 11,551 SF property storage area.
The project achieved two Green Globes for sustainability.
