Bayside Community Church - Addition
Bayside Church engaged Willis A. Smith Construction to build a 73,000 SF addition to their existing facility on SR 64 east of Lorraine Road in Lakewood Ranch. The congregation had outgrown the existing building which opened in 2010 and they conduct five weekly services with over 5,000 total attendees each weekend.
The added facilities includes a 2,500 seat sanctuary with stadium seating, 10 additional classrooms for the children’s ministry along with a lagoon area and a large foyer gathering area. The work also included the addition of 533 parking spaces spread throughout the campus and a new east roadway to accommodate the additional traffic to the church.
The sanctuary not only increased capacity, but is a state of the art performing arts hall including audio-visual, lighting, catwalk/tension grid system, capacity for special event lighting and sound, and a 39 foot ceiling height to truly provide an extraordinary experience.
