First Church of God
Willis A. Smith Construction, Inc. built this 32,000 SF church four miles east of Interstate 75 consisting of a new sanctuary/multi-purpose room, administrative offices and classroom building. This project was constructed on a monolithic concrete slab with painted split-face block over a rigid steel frame building with a Hunter Green standing seam roof system. The multipurpose room has large clerestory windows throughout. The extensive site work involved clearing five acres, creating two retention ponds and the widening of Fruitville Road to provide for a left turn lane.
