Manatee County Mosquito Control District Facility
This project includes a new administration section which includes offices, laboratories, and mixed-use spaces for operations. This building serves as the hub for radio communications with the hangar building and helicopter pilots. The lab portion of this building includes entomology, biology, and insectary laboratories for the storage, examination, and testing of insects.
Storage buildings provide this facility with defined areas for the storage of chemicals, vehicles, equipment, and supplies. The Vehicle storage building includes a fill station for filling large vehicle-mounted tanks with water.
The Helipad is a 4,096 square foot 8” thick reinforced concrete pad with an isolated 4,000-gallon jet-fuel tank and hose reel fuel dispenser.
