Sarasota County - Phillippi Estate - Keith House - Exterior Restoration
The original house was raised from its existing foundations and the original foundation was removed. The house was then lowered on to a new foundation. Structural floor joists were provided and existing siding, windows, and doors were removed. All were refurbished and reinstalled and new gutters and a cistern system were provided. New porches were framed and new windowsills are being crafted using wood harvested from saved lumber from old trees which had been cut 60 to 80 years ago.
